Never pick something if you have doubts about it.

Check the whole plant, that means leaves, stem, flower, scent, roots, as well as the environment where it grows to see if it matches.

Ask an expert if you are still uncertain.



Do not harvest more than a third of the leaves, flowers or the plant:
⅓ for you,
⅓ for the other animals and insects and
⅓ for the plant.

Foraging

One way to to be closer to nature is to go on a foraging trip. Whether you are looking for mushrooms, berries, fruits, herbs, or roots, you should always to it with respect.
Part of being respectful is to understand that we are not alone in the woods or in the marshes. Many lives, small or large, depend on what you may harvest for yourself.
